Creamy is a video of non-Newtonian fluid (cornstarch and water aka “Oobleck”) responding physically to the sound of an audio recording of a vibrator being used by the artist to masturbate to completion. Visually inspired by Milk Drop Coronet, Harold Eugene Edgerton’s iconic 1957 photo, Creamy is a work about translation of form— an intimate act translated through multiple forms of kinetic energy and binary code to produce an abstracted visual representation of sexual pleasure and release.
